It's That Time Again

Finally, the NBA Playoffs is here and I’m anxious to see what’s going to happen. I’m still rooting for the Boston Celtics. They are unpredictable but a tough team. I see Oklahoma Thunder going to the finals in the west. The only other teams in the west that wouldn’t surprise me are the Spurs and Grizzles. In the East, it’s going to come to the 2nd round series with the Bulls and Celtics. Whomever wins that series when go to the finals.

Upsets: Nuggets over Lakers. The Pacers over Miami.

Who do you think is going to win it all?

Do you think there will be any upsets? Who?

Today: The Bulls are about to play the Sixers. Bulls are going to either sweep them or only lose one game. The other 3 games, the winners will be Miami, Indiana & Oklahoma.

Music Challenge - Day 60: A Song By Your Favorite Artist

We’ve finally reached the end of the Music Challenge. My 60 Day goal was reached. I’m not really ready to stop but kind of ready to start working on something else. Does anyone know of anything that someone has already started? Thank you all for listening, reading and participating.

As for a song by my favorite artist. I choose Kanye West for this one. He has moved into my top 10 line up over the years. I’ve been impressed by his work since the first day I first heard his single Through The Wire. There was something about that song that I was feeling and I would listen to each time it come on. Come to find out, I had been hearing his music for a while and didn’t know.

His first album College Dropout, even though he did a lot of talking, was a very good and unique album.

That album started my 2004 off.

Then he dropped Late Registration the next year. Another classic album.

He produced a whole of stuff over that’s tight. I’m still finding out some of the stuff he produced a while a back. I can sometimes tell when it’s a Kanye beat anymore but I’ve miss some stuff.

There’s a lot of people that only see Kanye as arrogant so they don’t like him but I think there would be a lot of famous people we wouldn’t like if we really knew who they were. At least he shows it and not tries to front.

Through my eyes, Kanye West is a beast with that music shit. There’s not one Jay-Z fan that will admit it but just like I called out that Kanye would sell more than 50 Cent when both of their album released the same day, I said he would out rap Jay-Z on the Throne Album. Guess what, he did just that.

Music Challenge - Day 59: A Song You Want to Dedicate to Someone

I want to dedicate this song to all the big gurls out there. Especially the big and sexy ones. Ain’t nothing wrong with big draws.

Claim you outta shape, you not outta place (Uh-uh)
You keep it natural with no powdered face
Without exercise you got the eye
Starin you down, make me wonder why
You women wanna frown at them stick figures
On them little ass girls, when a clique of niggaz
Run up and try to hurl game for real
Your frame holds appeal in the everyday
World in conceal is not the way
To go, I'm tellin you I had to let
Ya know, ya need to let it all hang

Don't be scared to show a little of that thang-thang

Music Challenge - Day 58: A Song That Reminds You of a Family Member

The one person in this world that has shown me what true unconditional love is and feels like. The one person that has never changed and has ALWAYS been here for me from November 05, 1978 and during the 9 months before to the present. Hold up, did you read that right. Let me write it again so you feel me … The one person that has never changed and has ALWAYS been here for me since November 05, 1978 and during the 9 months before. As I sit here writing this, I can’t believe that I every had anything negative to say about this woman growing up. She trips at times but that’s just who she is and that’s just one of many ways she shows me love.

If you don’t already know, I’m talking about my Mom.

Every time I hear this song, I think about her. Dear Mom, you are appreciated.

When I speak on love. It doesn’t mean I don’t have any in my heart or have never felt it. It’s just that I’ve never been giving as much love or just even loved as my Mom has giving me. She set the bar. Not that anyone will every compare but she told me to never settle.

She is one of the major reasons why I don’t feel alone and not worried about being alone.

Let me stop right here, I got too much to say.

Music Challenge - Day 57: What Would Be Your Stripper “On Stage” Song

If I were a stripper, haa. I was going to go with Ginuwine’s Pony song but a pony, I don’t think so. Maybe it was like come ride my Stallion or Bull or something like that but Pony, naw. Sounds too much like R Kelly.

I had to stick with something I could relate too

Scorpio by E-40, uh huh. I’d come from the behind the curtain with my black/white cow print thong with matching socks and bow tie on. I’d have horns on my thong by the package area. I’d have one of those old school playa hats with a feather in it leaning a tad bit to left and some cool glasses. Sheeeeiit, I don’t need no pole, I’ll swing from my own shit.
