Power Trip by J. Cole featuring Miguel. Once I hear it, it’s stuck in my head for a long while.

Day 4 (25 Songs, 25 Days)

Day 04

A Song That Calms You Down:

Be Thankful For What You Got by William DeVaughn is too cool. This is what I try to tell the peeps are struggling. Everything is going to be ok. Let’s take these lemons we created and turn them into something positive.

This song makes me want to ride out.

Day 3 (25 Songs, 25 Days)

Day 03

A Song That Reminds You of One/Both of Your Parents

My Mom listened to a variety of music for the most part. I do remember some gospel and I never liked it.

I was going to go with Gregory Abbott’s Shake You Down but I decided to Just Got Paid by Johnny Kemp. Even I liked this song back in the day.

Day 2 (25 Songs, 25 Days)

Day 2

A Song That Reminds You of Your Most Recent Ex-Boyfriend/Girlfriend:

Wow, my most recent ex was sooo long ago. Had to think for a second what I was listening to that would remind me of her.

This was off Pink’s first album were she wasn’t “being herself”. She went from R&B to pop. At first, I was like I don’t like the pop Pink but after a while, I started to like her. I also like her wild video personality, not sure if she’s really like that in real life but I’m going to assume she is.

Day 1 (25 Songs, 25 Days)

Day 01

 A Song From Your Childhood:

Usually when I think of music from my childhood, I think of 80s pop but I wanted to choose something different from another genre of music. I haven’t heard this song since I was a kid but I remember we used to dig this.

Peewees Dance by Joe Ski Love

I used to think Pee Wee Herman was cool. Boi I tell ya. While I was just listening to this song, I felt like I’m listening to the Big Teezy Show, haaa.
